Welcome

Welcome to Our Lady of Perpetual Help School located in the heart of Clovis just behind the historic downtown district.  OLPH began educating students in 1962 when the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception recognized a need in the community for Catholic education along with a rigorous academic standard. The school began as a 1st-8th grade school and has expanded over the years to reach the youngest minds with a preschool, transitional kindergarten, and kindergarten program as well.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help School is first and foremost a Catholic school.  We live out our faith daily beginning with school-wide morning prayer in front of the statue of our Blessed Mother. Prayer continues throughout the day along with daily religion class, weekly Mass, observance of holy days and feast days, and an effort to treat each other as God treats us. We are blessed to have the support and involvement of our parish priest, Father Robert Borges.  Father Robert is seen on the campus weekly along with his dog, Boscoe, who is the school’s unofficial mascot! Each class takes a turn planning and preparing the Friday Mass, prayer services such as Blessing of the Pets and the Crowning of Mary, and observances of the Liturgical Calendar such as Stations of the Cross during Lent.

Academic Standards at OLPH School are set high, with an emphasis on each student reaching personal educational goals.  STAR testing is used to help plan curriculum along with goal setting for each student.  We also use various programs such as Accelerated Math, Accelerated Reader, IXL, updated curriculum in Language Arts and Science, and a 1:1 iPad program in 7th and 8th grades. Students have an opportunity to participate in the annual Science Fair, Academic Decathlon, Spelling Bee, and a multitude of classroom projects.

OLPH has a top notch sports program that focuses on heathy competition with an emphasis on sportsmanship during both wins and losses.  We offer flag football, basketball, volleyball, cross country, track, golf, and sokko.  Students also participate in P.E. classes several times a week.

In recent years, OLPH School has expanded our curriculum to include art and music classes.  Each class has art class with the art teacher each week and produces stunning art pieces on that are put on display at the end of the year.  All classes attend music class each week along with choir class each Friday.
